Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Sonny Gray was removed from the game on Tuesday night following some groin tightness he felt ahead of the fourth inning. He will now have to undergo an MRI to determine the severity, but it's not a welcomed sign for a guy who has performed well in the Reds' rotation this year.

While nothing is definitive yet, there is some belief this could result in a trip to the IL for Gray.

Reds News

The Reds starter only has a 1-4 record this year, but he boasts a solid 3.42 ERA with 65 strikeouts in 50 innings pitched. After a hot start, Cincinnati has cooled off a bit but still remains just five games back of the NL Central lead. If they want to keep pace, they'll need to make sure Gray misses as little time as possible.

The Reds are +1200 to take home the NL Central crown, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest MLB odds.
