Reds Get Another Awful Injury Update On Nick Senzel

Another disappointing season for the Cincinnati Reds' Nick Senzel is officially over.
Senzel suffered a fractured toe in his left foot while crashing into the outfield wall during Cincinnati's 5-3 loss to the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night. With only 14 games remaining on the Reds' schedule, he will miss the rest of the regular season.

Nick Senzel Injury News
This is another disappointing development for the oft-injured 27-year-old, who just hasn't been able to stay healthy. His 110 games played this season represent a career-high, and that's still 52 games short of a full season.
It's been one frustrating setback after another for the former top prospect, who was the second overall pick in the 2016 MLB Draft. He's appeared in just 273 games since debuting in 2019, averaging only 68 games per season.
All the injuries appear to have taken a toll on Senzel's performance as well. He hasn't come close to matching his 12 home runs, 14 stolen bases and .742 OPS as a rookie, posting a .609 OPS with just 8 homers and 12 steals during the past three seasons combined.
At this point, it's fair to wonder if the Reds should finally move on from Senzel. His talent appears to have eroded, and the outfielder/second baseman can't be counted on to play a full season. Cincinnati has given him plenty of chances, and perhaps a change of scenery could revive his once-promising career.
