Rays Get Disappointing News With Brandon Lowe Injury Return Timeline

Tampa Bay Rays infielder Brandon Lowe has been dealing with a lower-back injury over the last week or so that's kept him rotating in and out of the lineup. He was officially placed on the 10-day injured list on Monday and now it's looking like his return won't be for a while.
The Rays revealed on Tuesday that Lowe has been diagnosed with a lower-back stress reaction. The injury will keep him away from baseball activities for the next three weeks, further piling on to Tampa Bay's injury woes.

Brandon Lowe Injury Update
The Rays will re-evaluate Lowe once the three-week period is over. Assuming everything goes well, the club will slowly bring him back into the swing of things while working on a return to play program.
Lowe began the 2022 MLB season on a strong note, racking up three home runs and six RBIs with a .296 batting average through the first seven games of the same. It was a small sample size, but it's been all downhill since then.
Lowe has just two HRs and 6 RBIs while batting .187 over his last 25 games. He racked up 29 strikeouts during that span as well, giving him a total of 34 on the year — second-most on the Rays' roster.
Some time off could be what Lowe needs to rebound from a tough start. He finished top-10 in American League MVP voting in each of the previous two seasons and that's the type of player the Rays need to make some noise later this year.
In the meantime, Tampa Bay must adapt to life without Lowe for the next little while. FanDuel Sportsbook is currently giving the Rays +2000 oddds (No. 11) to win the 2022 World Series.
