According to Cash, this is "more a slight tug than anything severe." That's a plus, but it's the consistent nature of this injury updates that are an issue.
Rays News
Cash told reporters the team will evaluate Franco again on Tuesday before making a decision on possible days of rest.
Franco has been plagued by quad and hamstring issues throughout the season and cannot seem to shake the issues. Still, he's a vital piece of the lineup. Franco is off to a slow start in comparison to his rookie year, but slashing .270/.305/.421 with 11 doubles and four stolen bases.
The Rays are back in action on Tuesday against the Rangers, and fans should pay attention to Franco's placement or absence in the lineup. FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB odds show Tampa Bay as +106 moneyline underdogs.
