Ravens Spoke With Big-Name Coach About Joining 2023 Staff

The Baltimore Ravens have some huge decisions to make this offseason, namely finding a new offensive coordinator to replace Greg Roman and getting Lamar Jackson a new contract.
While Jackson's contract saga continues, Baltimore could be getting close to finding Roman's successor.
Kliff Kingsbury Ravens Rumors
ESPN's NFL insider Josina Anderson is reporting that the Ravens had some preliminary discussions with former Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury. These discussions did not "produce an imminent fit," but that doesn't mean the door is completely shut.
I'm told Kliff Kingsbury had conversations Sunday with the #Ravens about potentially joining their staff. However, those talks did not produce an imminent fit on timing and other factors at this specific time, per league source.

Kingsbury was fired by the Cardinals earlier this offseason after four seasons, with a 4-13 record in 2022 being the final nail in the coffin.
Kingsbury notably took a long trip to Thailand immediately after his firing and seemed like he was going to take some time away from coaching. While that still might be the case, we now know he's at least entertaining the idea of returning to the NFL in some capacity.
It might be some time before Kingsbury gets another coaching opportunity after how badly he squandered Arizona's talented roster, but it sounds like Baltimore is at least open to giving him a chance to re-establish himself as a viable NFL coach.
