The Texas Rangers are in the midst of a series with their in-state division rivals, the Houston Astros.

In honor of this series, they put together one of the strangest, funniest hype videos you'll ever see from a baseball team.

From a baseball blowing up the moon to calling a camel a giraffe to declaring themselves a team that embraces "Earth", things get pretty weird.

Of course, it seems to have done the trick. The Rangers took home a 6-5 win over the Astros in extra innings on Tuesday, with noted defenders of Earth Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Scott Heineman scoring in the 10th inning after Elvis Andrus tied the game with a solo shot in the ninth.

The team putting together fun promos (and fun in-game performances) like that is keeping the season fun for the fans, even though their hopes of being contenders have already been dashed. The Rangers' +10000 odds to win the American League are tied for the worst in the AL on FanDuel Sportsbook.
