The 2022 NFL Draft featured a total of 262 prospects being selected by teams across the league and a number of undrafted free agents signed deals afterwards as well. The entire process acted a jolt for NFL fans as anticipation for the season is starting to rise ahead of the schedule release on May 12.

Keep in mind fans already know the opponents their favorite team will play in 2022, just not specific dates or order. The Los Angeles Rams will look to join a very short list of back-to-back Super Bowl champions in 2022, but the road to another Lombardi Trophy will likely be anything but smooth.

Rams Schedule 2022

Sports Illustrated's Zach Koons put together a strength of schedule metric based on the known opponents and their 2021 regular-season records. It's the worst-case scenario for the Rams as they find themselves at the very top of the list with the hardest schedule across all 32 franchises.

Nothing about playing in the NFC West is ever going to be easy. While the Rams swept the Arizona Cardinals in 2021, they also split the season series against the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. On the bright side, Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson has been traded out of the division.

Los Angeles will also be tasked with taking on opponents within the NFC South and AFC West. Only one of those eight teams finished with less than 7 wins in 2021 and three of them finished with at least 10 victories. Throw in matchups against the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers and the Rams really have their work cut out for them.

The Rams made it clear last season that they aren't messing around, though. Oddsmakers are giving them the benefit of the doubt here with odds set at +1100 to win Super Bowl 57, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Those chances rank tied for fourth in the NFL.
