Don't look now, but the Las Vegas Raiders head into Week 18 in control of their own playoff destiny. All that stands between them and their first postseason berth since 2016 is the Los Angeles Chargers. The Raiders have opened as slim underdogs in an exciting Sunday Night Football matchup.

FanDuel Sportsbook has the Raiders slated as 3-point home underdogs against the Chargers in what is the second meeting between these AFC West teams this season. Los Angeles quarterback Justin Herbert led his squad to a 28-14 win over Las Vegas back in Week 4 of the regular season.

However, a lot has changed since that point. The Raiders have fought to keep their playoff hopes alive by ripping off three straight wins and continue to fly under the radar. After all, quarterback Derek Carr spearheads this offense with his arm and ranks fourth in the NFL in passing yards (4,618).

Playing in front of a crazy home crowd is not going to be easy for the Chargers. It's nothing they aren't used to, though. Head coach Brandon Staley's team has posted a 4-3 away record this season and averages 292.0 passing yards per game when on the road (No. 3 in NFL).

The Raiders still have a chance to sneak into the playoffs with a loss on Sunday night, but it quickly becomes very tricky to do so. Las Vegas has an opportunity take care of business themselves with another upset victory. This is a dangerous team that no AFC team should want to face in the playoffs.
