Darren Waller has spent much of training camp and the preseason on the sidelines. Not only was Waller dealing with a hamstring injury, but he is also seeking a lucrative long term contract extension from the Las Vegas Raiders.
Darren Waller Injury Update
Waller hired new representation in NFL super agent Drew Rosenhaus last week, so the latter seems to be on the right track and trending toward a resolution. The good news is that his hamstring injury also seems to be a thing of the past now.
After returning to practice last week, Waller has seemingly worked all the way back from his hamstring injury and is now poised to assume his starting position in Week 1 for the Raiders.
This is huge news for a Raiders offense that projects to be much improved and very talented after the addition of Davante Adams, a healthy Josh Jacobs and Darren Waller, the drafting of Zamir White and a seemingly reenergized Derek Carr. On top of all that, adding in offensive guru Josh McDaniels as their new head coach.
