Moving to Las Vegas is already doing the Raiders some big favors.

The AFC West is massively spread out, geographically, and that has contributed to the Raiders being forced to travel the most miles in the entire NFL for three consecutive seasons. Finally in 2020 that streak is being snapped.

Not only are the Raiders just sliding out of first place, they have only the seventh-most travel miles for any team. Cutting the journey to Denver from 957 miles to 628 miles and the journey to Kansas City from 1,489 miles to 1,139 miles has gone a long way to pull total total down.

That is, of course, just one perk of the move. The Raiders will be leaving behind the legendary Oakland Colosseum, but they are moving to the state-of-the-art Allegiant Stadium, which they have already sold out for the 2020 season.

Having a less grueling travel schedule than they're used to should be a nice treat for the Raiders, though the experts still don't seem sold on their chances in this tough division.
