Raheem Mostert just can't seem to stay on the field, as the San Francisco 49ers' bell-cow left Sunday night's game due to an injured ankle. He's been incredibly productive when on the field, but he's already missed two full games, and has exited early from two more contests as well.

Mostert attempted to gut it out last night, taking the first carry of the second half for a 1-yard gain. But he clearly didn't look right and never came back in. While there's nothing concrete on his status quite yet, any absence for Mostert would significantly boost Jerick McKinnon's fantasy outlook.

Jerick McKinnon Fantasy Outlook

McKinnon has shined while playing in relief of Mostert. He's started two games this season, reaching at least 77 yards from scrimmage and 1 touchdown in both contests.

The shifty back didn't do much against the Los Angeles Rams once Mostert went down. But the 49ers' offense sputtered in the second half, so it's hard to blame him much. San Francisco gained 285 net yards in the first half and scored 21 points, compared to 99 yards and 3 second-half points.

If Mostert is out for any period of time, McKinnon will likely be a solid RB2, regardless of format.

Tevin Coleman Fantasy Outlook

Tevin Coleman could be a potential roadblock for McKinnon, though. He was expected to miss about four weeks when he went down in Week 2, and that suggests a Week 7 return is certainly possible for the former Atlanta Falcon.

Coleman wouldn't be much of a fantasy option himself if he were to return in Week 7, but he would lower McKinnon's ceiling. The same can be said for JaMycal Hasty, who won't be much of an option even after handling 9 carries for 37 yards last night.

Still, we're not sure if Coleman will be able to suit up in Week 7.

This will be a really important situation for fantasy managers to monitor in the coming days.
