The Carolina Panthers announced that Teddy Bridgewater will be inactive in Week 11, meaning former XFL star PJ Walker will start on Sunday. This news downgrades both Robby Anderson and DJ Moore's fantasy outlooks in Week 11, making them boom-or-bust WR2s.

But as for Walker himself, he becomes an interesting option as a QB2 if you're in a pinch.

While Walker impressed during his time in the XFL, it's hard to know whether or not that will translate to the NFL. The early returns certainly haven't been a good sign.

He has taken over for Bridgewater twice this season, completing 3-of-8 passes for 15 yards. In his defense, he was thrown into the fire mid-game while Bridgewater left with injuries in both instances. Walker should benefit from getting a ton of time working as the team's QB1 in practice this week, and Carolina did have some time to design a game plan that more suits his skill-set.

Another point in his favor, the Detroit Lions' defense has really struggled against the pass. Detroit has surrendered above-average production to opposing QBs this season (19.2), and also allows the ninth-most passing yards per game (258.4).

Of course, the 25-year-old Walker has only attempted 8 passes in his NFL tenure, so it's difficult to project how he'll fare in his first-career start.

If you're desperate at QB, he's a fine option thanks to playing in a creative offense and against a beatable defense. But buyer beware, as his lack of experience means his floor is as low as it gets.
