Penn State Gives Update on RB Devyn Ford's Status for Week 14

Penn State running back Devyn Ford was away from the team to attend to a personal issue in Week 13.

With the Nittany Lions back in action against Rutgers on Saturday, head coach James Franklin gave an update on Ford's status — announcing that Ford will be back in action in Week 14.

With Ford out of the lineup against Michigan last weekend, it was Keyvone Lee that did most of the heavy lifting in the Penn State backfield. He had 134 yards on 22 carries, while Caziah Holmes added another 34 yards on 10 totes.

Ford has averaged just 3.7 yards per carry (209 yards on 56 rushes). It will be nice for Penn State to get their starter back, but after last weekend's eruption, Lee may have also earned himself an expanded role moving forward.
