The New England Patriots are one of the most WR-needy teams in the league. Naturally, there has been a ton of speculation that they could be interested in signing A.J. Green.

Unfortunately for New England, however, recent reports are suggesting the Cincinnati Bengals could be looking to franchise tag their star wideout. If Green does indeed stay in Cincinnati, here are three other wideouts the Patriots should be looking to sign in free agency.

1. Emmanuel Sanders

Emmanuel Sanders played well after being traded to the San Francisco 49ers. He racked up 502 receiving yards on 36 catches in 10 games with the team, quickly establishing himself as one of Jimmy Garoppolo's most reliable targets. He's no surefire bet to be back with the team, though. If he hits the open market, New England would be wise to pursue the 32-year-old, who was on their radar years ago when he signed an offer sheet with the Pats as a restricted free agent in 2013.

2. Robby Anderson

Robby Anderson would bring some much-needed speed to New England. He's quietly been one of the league's most-dangerous deep threats, having averaged 15.0 yards per catch in each of the last two seasons. Tom Brady had an average depth of target of just 7.6 yards in 2019 (down from 7.9 in 2018), and signing Anderson could be a solid way to add some verticality to this offense (assuming Brady re-signs).

3. Devin Funchesss

Devin Funchess missed the majority of the 2019 season, but he could be a worthwhile gamble after recording a combined 107 receptions and 1,389 yards in his last two healthy seasons. The big-bodied WR would be a nice fit alongside Julian Edelman, and he could really help out in the red zone. If he's healthy, Funchess could bring some serious upside, likely at an affordable price.
