The Denver Broncos couldn't pass up the chance to add top cornerback Patrick Surtain II in the 2021 NFL Draft after Jaycee Horn went one pick earlier. The son of former NFL DB Patrick Surtain could easily be the best at his position from this talented class when all is said and done.

Patrick Surtain Broncos Jersey

The top Broncos pick has chosen a familiar jersey number to rock in Denver this year.

Patrick Surtain Jersey Number

Surtain will wear No. 2 as a rookie for the Broncos in 2021. It's the same number he starred in for the Alabama Crimson Tide during his three standout years there, so no need to switch it up now.

The 6-foot-2, 208-pound CB gives Denver the kind of big-bodied corner needed to contain the top passing offenses in today's NFL. Surtain is certainly up to the task. He racked up 24 passes defensed and 4 INTs (including a pick-six) in three years at Alabama, along with 4 forced fumbles as well.

Surtain is a straight-up playmaker who will help boost a revamped Broncos secondary that saw the arrivals of veterans Kyle Fuller and Ronald Darby this offseason. Denver can certainly use all of the help it can get going against the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert and Derek Carr six times a year.
