Patrick Mahomes led the NFL in passing touchdowns last season by a wide margin. While the Kansas City Chiefs' QB racked up 53 TDs, the next closest competitor was Andrew Luck with 42. Beyond that, there was a grouping between 34 and 36 touchdowns that included Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan and Ben Roethlisberger.

Now, less than 50 days prior to the 2019-20 NFL season, Mahomes is the favorite to lead the league in passing TDs again this year, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

At +360 odds, the reigning league MVP is just ahead of Luck and Ryan at +420. There's a bit of a drop off after that with Packers' QB Aaron Rodgers at +750, and then Brees (+100) and another two veterans in Rivers and Wilson at +1300.

At the back end of the top 10 in odds are Baker Mayfield (+1600), Carson Wentz (+1600) and Tom Brady (+1800), who all have the offenses around them to lead the league in passing TDs.

While we'll have to wait more than six months for this bet to be decided, with the NFL now being a pass-first league, the leader in passing TDs should top 50 again this coming season.
