Jurickson Profar Injury Update
It wasn't long after Profar left the field that he was transported to UC San Diego Health for further evaluation. The 29-year-old attempted to walk off under his own power at first, but collapsed and it became clear something was wrong. A neck brace was then put on and a stretcher was brought onto the field.
Profar gave a fist pump to the crowd on his way out, which is a great sign considering Abram's knee hit him flush in the jaw. Manager Bob Melvin said there was no tingling or anything in his arms and spoke in depth about his outfielder's status in the clubhouse following San Diego's 2-1 victory.
"I think what we're worried about most is probably a concussion at this point. But they're checking everything out and we'll probably know a little bit more later."

Seeing Profar miss an extended period of time would be a big blow to the Padres' offense. The nine-year pro is tied for the team lead in doubles (20) and tied for second in runs scored (50). Overall, Profar is slashing .242/.343/.397 across 83 games to go along with 8 home runs and 38 RBI.
San Diego moved Nomar Mazara to left field and Jose Azocar came in to play right field for the remainder of the game. They now join center fielder Trent Grisham as the everyday outfield trio. The Padres have odds set at +1400 to win the World Series, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
