Matt LaFleur enjoyed a great first season with the Green Bay Packers, leading the team to a 13-3 record and an appearance in the NFC Championship Game. The ensuing offseason has been a slightly different story, though.

Most fans were not happy that the team didn't address wide receiver in the NFL Draft or free agency (aside from signing Devin Funchess, who opted out anyway). They were equally surprised the Packers drafted QB Jordan Love in the first round. But it appears the team might be considering an explosive new weapon at punt returner – star cornerback Jaire Alexander.

This is not Alexander's first time returning punts at the NFL level. He handled 4 punt returns for 25 yards as a rookie in 2018. He also returned 43 punts across three seasons at Louisville. He wasn't on punt duties last year, though.

Green Bay will likely want to be careful with Alexander, who held opposing QBs to a 53.6 completion percentage and an 85.8 passer rating in 2019. His main focus will be on defense. But with his explosive speed, he could be used in the punt return game in certain situations.
