When Odell Beckham Jr was released by the Cleveland Browns last season, the list of teams he was considering reportedly came down to the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams.
At the time, both teams were considered Super Bowl contenders, and both could have used a receiver like Beckham in hopes he would bring them over the hump.
Beckham ended up signing with the Rams, and he ultimately did just that. He was a crucial piece in the team's Super Bowl run before suffering a torn ACL in the big game.
However, we didn't know until now one of the main reason behind why Beckham chose the Rams. And it was a simple one – money.
Packers' Odell Beckham Jr. Offer
The Packers offered Beckham the veterans minimum, while the Rams almost 7x that amount with their offer.
While Beckham still is recovering from his ACL injury and currently doesn't have a team, many expect him to re-sign in Los Angeles.
However, watching what Beckham did for the Rams last season and how their receiving corps looks this season, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers have to feeling some sort of regret they couldn't find a way to put forth a better offer.
