Ohio State Being Disrespected By CFP Championship Odds Against Alabama

The Ohio State Buckeyes didn't have the clearest path to the College Football Playoff, but they proved they belonged with a statement win over the No. 2 Clemson Tigers in the Sugar Bowl. Ohio State handled Clemson and likely No. 1 pick Trevor Lawrence 49-28, setting up a date with the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide in the CFP Championship game.
Despite their Sugar Bowl showing, the Buckeyes are 7.5-point underdogs against Alabama, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's CFP betting odds, which is purely disrespectful to Ohio State.

? Justin Fields, Ohio State - 92.9
? Mac Jones, Alabama - 84.0
?Trevor Lawrence, Clemson - 62.4

The Tide have looked dominant this season, and they managed to handle the Irish in the Rose Bowl, but the Buckeyes had an impressive showing against Clemson that should reflect in their odds.
Quarterback Justin Fields is playing his best football of the season and could earn himself a possible No. 2 selection in this year's draft. He threw for 385 yards and a whopping 6 touchdowns against the Tigers, and his connection with wideout Chris Olave gives the Buckeyes an elite duo that should pose problems for Alabama.
Coming into the Sugar Bowl, the Buckeyes were also 7.5-point underdogs to the Tigers. In addition, the experts sided with Clemson before the CFP Semifinal. Yet Ohio State scored 21 unanswered points in the second quarter against Clemson and used that to fuel their win.
The Buckeyes are used to proving the doubters wrong, and there's no better stage to do it on than in the CFP Championship.
