Noah Fant looked to be on his way to a true breakout season before suffering an ankle injury in Week 4. The Denver Broncos' second-year tight end hasn't been able to get back on the field since, but it's looking like he'll be able to return in Week 7.

After getting in a full practice on Thursday, Fant should be active barring any setbacks on Friday.

Fant is not returning in an ideal spot, however. He's facing the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, and they're the league's No. 4 passing defense in Football Outsiders' DVOA metrics. Already a difficult matchup for this Denver passing game, things could get even tougher than expected due to the potential for snow in this one.

Even with all of that working against him, Fant might've proven to be too good to bench. The Iowa product was the TE5 in PPR leagues on a per-game basis before going down, averaging a stellar 13.7 points per game.

Fant should be viewed as a low-end TE1 this week, but his recent injury and the difficult matchup make the burgeoning star a risky option in Week 7.
