Even in the heart of the summer, in between OTAs and the official start of training camps, football truly never sleeps. Championships are partly built on these mid-summer preseason acquisitions and roster decisions.

That's no different for the Buffalo Bills, who look to put together the final pieces on a team seemingly destined for Super Bowl 57. Buffalo made their big offseason splash by bringing in Von Miller via free agency, but that won't stop the front office from making final adjustments to the roster.

NFL insider Field Yates recently examined the current state of all 32 teams, and declared one more move the Bills need to make this offseason.

Bills Offseason

Yates believes the Bills need to fully shore up their secondary and bring in some sort of veteran cornerback to the mix.

He does note that it's "hard to find a hole on the Bills' roster," and while Buffalo addressed this need by drafting Kaiir Elam in the first round, it's important to stay ahead of the current "pass-happy" state of the NFL.

Yates also acknowledges the uncertainty around Tre'Davious White's torn ACL recovery and departure of Levi Wallace as reasons why this should be a priority in upstate New York.

White and Elam can be penciled into the starting roles on the depth chart, making this more of a depth addition than signing or trading for a flashy corner.

Take the possibilities of adding Joe Haden or Chris Harris off the board. Rather, Buffalo may be better suited to go after a name like Dont'e Deayon or Jimmy Smith.

Buffalo is the current favorite to win Super Bowl 57, according to NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. Their +650 odds lead teams like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+750) and Kansas City Chiefs (+950). Still that shouldn't stop GM Brandon Beane and his staff from making a move that cements this opportunity to bring a championship to Buffalo.
