While Dallas is both contractually and verbally committed to Dak Prescott as their quarterback, it seems in the midst of weighing all of its options. Those could include Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud.

C.J. Stroud Cowboys Rumors

Of course, Stroud ia a top prospect and is surely well out of Dallas' reach where they currently stand in the draft order. There's even a legit chance Stroud goes No. 1overall in April's draft.

Prescott is currently under contract for two more years, and Dallas has indicated it planned to give him an extension on top of that. However, they could be singing a different tune behind closed doors.

Prescott has continually failed to get over the hump for one reason or another, whether it be injury or poor play. This past season was a mix of both and many Cowboys fans have seen enough. Dak had both a great skill position group and scary-good defense this past season, yet he turned in one of the worst statistical seasons of his career.

The Cowboys are a team built for win-now mode, but the only problem is, they're not winning. Well, at least not when it matters. At some point Dallas might fell the need to go in a different direction.

Despite his struggles, many expect Dak to bounce back next season, but it still might not be enough to win a Super Bowl. If the Cowboys are that interested in Stroud, maybe they pull out all the stops to move up and get him.
