The Chicago Bears haven't exactly built up their roster this offseason. Instead, new GM Ryan Poles appears content to shed salary and tear the roster down from the ground up. That's obviously not great for the development of second-year QB Justin Fields. And right now, this team just hasn't done enough to surround the Ohio State product with talent.
But FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL Draft odds suggest the Bears are looking to change that with their first pick of the night.
Bears NFL Draft Odds
FanDuel Sportsbook's team specials suggest Chicago is targeting a wide receiver with its first pick of the draft. FanDuel puts the Bears at +185 to draft a WR first. And if it's not a wideout, the oddsmakers think it'll likely be an O-Lineman, as that position group has the second-best odds at +250. Cornerback (+470), D-Line (+500) and linebacker (+650) round out the rest of the top five.
Receiver and offensive line are both obvious areas of need, so these odds should come as no surprise. Chicago has holes pretty much everywhere on the OL, and Darnell Mooney is the only real threat the Bears have at WR.
Of course, Chicago could always throw a curveball tonight. But these odds really make it seem like Poles is going to get some help for Justin Fields tonight.
