October is always an exciting time of the year for sports fans. The MLB playoffs are in full effect as the NFL regular season begins to ramp up, creating plenty of sports-watching opportunities. However, while this time is a joy for fans, it's also a headache for the leagues whenever scheduling conflicts occur.

Well, it turns out that there could be a potential conflict between the MLB and NFL this week. ESPN's Field Yates reports that if there's a Game 4 on Sunday for the Houston Astros vs. Seattle Mariners AL Division Series, the upcoming Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals Week 6 matchup will be pushed back by roughly an hour and half.

Seahawks vs Cardinals Week 6

As it stands, the Astros are currently up 1-0 in their five-game series against the Mariners. However, if Seattle wins either of the two next games, Game 4 would be played at 3:07 p.m. ET at T-Mobile Park on Sunday. With the Seahawks also playing at home (literally right next door) at 4:05 p.m. ET that day, it makes sense that the NFL is prepared to move things around if necessary.

This is the first time in a long time that Seattle sports fans have had to deal with such overlap. This year marks the Mariners' first playoff appearance since 2001, so Seahawks fans haven't really had to think about baseball once October rolls around in over two decades.

It'll also be interesting to see what kind of effect traffic has on the area. T-Mobile Park and Lumen Field are only a block away from each other, so a delayed start time for the Seahawks would also help traffic flow.

Unfortunately for those in Seattle, a Game 4 is far from guaranteed at the moment. FanDuel Sportsbook's latest ALDS odds favor the Astros at +160 to complete the three-game sweep of the Mariners.
