Teams across the NFL are preparing to ramp up for the 2022 regular season with the start of training camp. The New England Patriots are one of the first squads to take the field as the preseason nears.

Here's everything Patriots fans need to know about training camp this year.

When Does New England Patriots Training Camp Start?

Each team has two separate start dates for training camp, as rookies are often required to report a few days before veterans. The Patriots had one of the earliest starts of teams across the league, with rookies reporting on Tuesday, July 19.

Then, on Tuesday, July 26, New England's veterans are mandated to report for training camp. This gives just two weeks to prepare for the team's first preseason game on Aug. 11.

The Patriots will host training camp on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

Patriots Training Camp Dates 2022

Patriots rookies already reported for training camp on July 19, followed by vets on July 26. New England will then host practices to get ready for its first preseason game on Aug. 11.

The Patriots' first preseason game is at home against the New York Giants. New England also plays again on Aug. 19 (vs. Carolina Panthers) and Aug. 26 (@ Las Vegas Raiders).

The Patriots will suit up on Sunday, Sept. 11 versus the Miami Dolphins in Week 1 of the 2022 campaign.

Patriots Training Camp News

James White has been a big part of the Patriots' offense in recent years but had his 2021 campaign ended in Week 3 due to a hip injury. Now, fans are wondering if he'll be ready for training camp.

Unfortunately, White's status is still up in the air. ESPN's Mike Reiss reported over the weekend that White is still "walking with what appeared to be an uncomfortable gait" and that his rehab is still ongoing.

Even if White isn't fully healed soon, the Patriots are fortunate to have Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson atop their RB depth charts. Hopefully, it doesn't take too long for White to join them in the backfield.
