It became public on Monday that Ndamukong Suh didn't expect to join Tom Brady in returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season.
After that, the free agent didn't waste much time in making it known where he did think he might want to sign.
The three-time All-Pro defensive tackle wasn't overly committal with his comments, but it's hard not to read much into a free agent naming one single team after publicly saying he wanted to continue playing.
Signing a high-profile player like Suh would also be perfectly on brand for the splashy offseason we've seen out of the Las Vegas Raiders so far. Suh may not be on Davante Adams' level, and his best years are behind him, but this is still a guy who has 12.0 sacks and 32 QB hits over the last two seasons.
Quinton Jefferson emerged as a viable pass-rush threat from the interior last season, but he's now a Seattle Seahawk. Darius Philon (second among Raiders defensive tackles in sacks last year) is also a free agent. Suh would fill a much-needed hole.
And of course, in the loaded AFC West the Raiders will take all the defensive help they can get. Despite the offseason improvements, FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds still have Vegas at just +700 to win the division.
