As March rolls on, we've made our way through the NCAA men's basketball regular season, and we're into conference tournament season. That means March Madness is just around the corner, and many fans already have their sights set ahead on the tournament, and in particular on their March Madness bracket for 2020.
But first, let's take a look at what the early March Madness betting odds on FanDuel Sportsbook are saying about how the tournament is likely to shake out.
Kansas March Madness Odds
The only team getting better than +100 odds to make the Final Four — implying they have a better than 50 percent shot of reaching that point — are the Kansas Jayhawks. Kansas is a +100 favorite to take down the Big 12 Conference Tournament, but the country's No. 1-ranked team is still a whopping -175 to earn a Final Four berth.
Gonzaga March Madness Odds
Fresh off an easy run through the WCC Tournament, the No. 2 Gonzaga Bulldogs are, not surprisingly, also second in odds to make the Final Four. The line of +100 indicates it's about a coin toss whether the Bulldogs reach the national semifinal this year or not.
Baylor March Madness Odds
The Baylor Bears have fallen to No. 5 in the AP Top 25 Poll, but they're still one of the best teams in the country. They're only +270 to win the Big 12 Conference Tournament, as they'll be forced to compete with Kansas, but thanks to the way that March Madness is seeded, they're still a strong +145 to make the Final Four.
Dayton March Madness Odds
Rounding out the top four teams is not a big name like Michigan State or Duke, but rather the Dayton Flyers. The No. 3-ranked Flyers put together a 29-2 season and have already secured a bye to the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship. Expected to cruise through their conference tournament, Dayton is also +180 to make the Final Four.
Of course, this is March Madness, and anything can happen. The competition is fierce, and there are another 24 teams getting better than +1000 odds to take one of these teams' spots in the semifinals. Expect these odds to continue changing as the conference tournaments play out and Selection Sunday approaches.
