NBA Legend Could Become Part-Owner of Broncos

Denver Broncos fans are patiently waiting to find out who is taking over as the new owner. There's several high-profile people leading bidding groups to purchase the franchise, which is expected to go for a record-setting amount.

In order to beef up his group's pitch, Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Josh Harris has recruited an NBA legend to join him.

Broncos Ownership Rumors

Former Los Angeles Lakers great Magic Johnson is now taking part in Harris' bidding group as the competition to buy the Broncos heats up. This certainly adds a huge name to the pursuit and could help Harris' pitch.

Johnson is no stranger to being part-owner of sports franchises. He was part of the group that bought the Los Angeles Dodgers for $2 billion in 2011, contributing $50 million to the cause. He's also got stakes in the LA Sparks and the MLS' LAFC.

Harris, Johnson and the rest of their party will face stiff competition as the Broncos look to finalize their sale before the start of the 2022 season.
