Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul is on a mission to win his first-ever NBA title. He's stepped up in big games already for his team, and his performance in Game 1 was no different as he helped lead the Suns to a 1-0 series lead.

The "Point God" has solidified himself as the frontrunner in the odds to win NBA Finals MVP on FanDuel Sportsbook following Game 1.

NBA Finals MVP Odds

After being tied with teammate Devin Booker and then taking a slight lead, Paul is now the odds-on favorite at -140 to win Finals MVP. Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo sits in a distant second at +500.

CP3's lead in the Finals MVP race should come as no surprise after what he did in Game 1. He finished with a game-high 32 points and 9 assists, scoring half of his points in the third quarter alone to grow Phoenix's lead.

Paul has put the Suns on his back several times this postseason, including 41 points to close out the Los Angeles Clippers and 37 points to close out the Denver Nuggets. If he keeps that level of play up and leads Phoenix to the title, the 36-year-old point guard will run away with Finals MVP honors.
