Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Tuesday, 2/9, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA
Steph Curry Fantasy
Target Stephen Curry ($10,400), PG, Golden State Warriors: Stephen Curry is one of the most expensive players on the slate tonight, and with good reason. This Warriors-Spurs matchup could be a goldmine for fantasy production. It's a matchup of two top-10 teams in terms of pace, which should lead to a nice uptick in volume for Curry. The Warriors' star has scored at least 50.0 FanDuel points in three of his last four, including 51.4 last night against this defense.
Jordan Clarkson Fantasy
Target Jordan Clarkson ($5,000), SG, Utah Jazz: Mike Conley is out tonight, and that should make Jordan Clarkson a bargain. In Conley's lone absence this season, Clarkson had a hefty 29.1% usage rate, while playing 30 minutes. Both figures are improvements upon his season averages. Against a Boston Celtics' defense that's missing its best perimeter defender in Marcus Smart, the uptick in opportunities should lead to a nice night for Clarkson.
DeMarcus Cousins Fantasy
Target DeMarcus Cousins ($6,000), C, Houston Rockets: Christian Wood is out again tonight, and DeMarcus Cousins has been a tremendous value when starting. In those six starts, Cousins is averaging 13.7 PPG, 12.8 RPG, 3.0 APG with 1.8 SPG and 1.5 BPG. That translates to a stellar average of 40.9 FanDuel points per contest as a starter, making him a great value at just 6k.
Brandon Ingram Fantasy
Avoid Brandon Ingram ($8,900), SF, New Orleans Pelicans: The Houston Rockets have been one of the best defensive teams in the league since trading James Harden. Houston currently boasts the league's second-best defensive rating, trailing only the Los Angeles Lakers. There are better values at the position tonight.
De'Aaron Fox Fantasy
Avoid De'Aaron Fox ($8,600), PG, Sacramento Kings: De'Aaron Fox draws a brutal matchup here, facing the Philadelphia 76ers. Fox relies on his blazing speed to get a ton of looks at the rim, with 20.4% of his attempts coming from within 3 feet. He's converting those at a stellar 77.8% clip. That's unlikely to happen against Joel Embiid's 76ers, who are surrendering the league's third-lowest field goal percentage from within three feet (61.5%). If Fox is forced to become more of a shooter than a slasher tonight, it'll be tough for him to justify that price tag.
