FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA
Giannis Antetokounmpo Fantasy
Target Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF, Milwaukee Bucks ($11,200): A matchup with the Denver Nuggets may not seem great, but tough matchups can actually help Giannis Antetokounmpo's fantasy production. One of the biggest risks in spending up for Giannis is that he may end up seeing limited minutes in a blowout. He's topped 37 minutes in each of the Bucks' last three games that finished with single-digit scoring margins. Antetokounmpo has averaged 61.7 FanDuel points per game when seeing at least 36 minutes, which crushes his season-average of 52.2.
Zach LaVine Fantasy
Target Zach LaVine, SG, Chicago Bulls ($8,800): With a slate-high over/under of 239 points, the Chicago Bulls vs Washington Wizards matchup is one to target in DFS tonight. Both teams rank top-3 in the NBA in pace, and the Wiz own the second-worst defensive rating. Zach LaVine's offensive volume is up lately, tallying over 20 field goal attempts in each of his last three games. That workload should easily translate into big fantasy production tonight.
Deni Avdija Fantasy
Target Deni Avdija, SF, Washington Wizards ($3,700): When we're targeting the highest-priced player on the slate, it pays to go cheap with your value plays. As mentioned above, this Bulls-Wiz game is one of the most intriguing on the slate for fantasy. Deni Avdija's minutes are down lately, but that's because he's sat out the fourth quarter in blowouts. The last Wizards game that was decided by fewer than 20 points saw him play almost 33 minutes, and he's averaged 22.4 FanDuel points per game in his last two such contests.
Nikola Jokic Fantasy
Avoid Nikola Jokic, C, Denver Nuggets ($11,600): While paying up for Giannis in this matchup is appealing, the same can't be said for the highest-priced player on the slate. Nikola Jokic has been an absolute force this season, but now he's up against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks are one of the two teams in the NBA that rank ahead of the Nuggets in rebound rate on the year, and their opponents average the league's sixth-fewest rebounds per game. Jokic can obviously do damage in other areas, but his career-high 11.5 rebounds per game have been a big part of his production, and at $11.6k you don't want to be paying up for a player likely to be limited in any area.
Pascal Siakam Fantasy
Avoid Pascal Siakam, SF, Toronto Raptors ($9,300): Pascal Siakam's production is picking up recently, but it's still hard to justify the $9,000 price-tag. Teammate Fred VanVleet is $300 cheaper and has eclipsed 50 FanDuel points in three of his last five games, but we need to extend our view back to the last 12 games to see Siakam top 50 three times. His improvements are encouraging, but this is still a guy who has fallen below 40 FanDuel points in seven of his last 10, with fewer than 30 in five of those.
