NBA DFS 4/12/2022

Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Tuesday, 4/12, NBA DFS action.

FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 4/12

Darius Garland Fantasy

Target Darius Garland, SG/PG, Cleveland Cavaliers ($8,900): The Cavaliers have gone through ups and downs all season long, but one thing has become clear. Point guard Darius Garland is going to lead this team on offense every single night. The third-year pro has played the Nets four times this season, averaging 25.3 points, 8.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds per contest. He was able to do that despite shooting just 29.4% from beyond the arc. Garland has turned things around from three-point range as of late, draining 51.6% of his long range attempts in the month of April. Brooklyn allows the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing PGs, so lean on Garland heavily tonight.

Seth Curry Fantasy

Target Seth Curry, PG/SG, Brooklyn Nets ($5,200): Barring any last minute changes, Seth Curry is expected to return from an ankle injury and suit up on Tuesday night. That is great news considering the matchup he draws. The Cavaliers are going to be focused on shutting down Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving from lighting up the scoreboard. That means Curry should see open shots against a Cleveland defense that allows an opponent three-point shooting percentage of 37.2% in away games this season (T-No. 27 in NBA). Curry's three-point percentage is 46.8% with the Nets, which makes him well worth a shot at this lower price tag.

Paul George Fantasy

Target Paul George, SG/SF, Los Angeles Clippers ($9,600): How far the Clippers can go in the postseason really comes down to Paul George and Paul George only. The seven-time All-Star has built a reputation for disappearing when it matters the most, yet he has been balling out since his return from an elbow injury. George is averaging 22.6 points, 6.8 assists and 5.6 rebounds over his last five games. The Timberwolves have been unable to stop opposing shooting guards all year long and allow the fourth-most fantasy points to the position. The biggest thing here is that George is a lock to see 30-plus minutes and have the ball in his hands a ton.

Karl-Anthony Towns Fantasy

Avoid Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves ($9,700): This is not saying that Karl-Anthony Towns is going to have a bad game whatsoever. It's rather a recommendation to take on higher salary players elsewhere in your lineup. Towns is averaging just 15.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists across three matchups against the Clippers this season (42.1% shooting percentage). LA has the size needed to keep KAT away from the rim and force him into mid-range jump shots, instead. The Clippers own the eighth-best defensive efficiency mark in the NBA for a reason. It's best to avoid Towns tonight in what should be a fierce battle on the boards.

Bruce Brown Fantasy

Avoid Bruce Brown, SG, Brooklyn Nets ($6,800): Bruce Brown is going to be a popular pick tonight given the fact that he has poured in at least 18 points and 7 rebounds in each of his last two games. The Miami product is simply taking advantage of injuries on the roster and increased playing time, though. Brown still averages just 9.0 points per game on the season and rarely sees more than 10 shot attempts per game. In a contest with this much meaning, head coach Steve Nash is likely going to rely on his veteran players to carry the load. After all, the Cavaliers allow the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing shooting guards.
