NBA DFS 3/9/2022
Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Wednesday, 3/9, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 3/9
Giannis Antetokounmpo Fantasy
Target Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF/SF, Milwaukee Bucks ($11,900): Another day, another night where you must target Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo in DFS action. Giannis is on one of those hot streaks, averaging 30.6 points, 12.8 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.6 blocks in his last 10 games. That's even in a stretch where Milwaukee had three games decided by 20 or more points and he played less than 30 minutes in each. The hot streak has resulted in Giannis hitting 60 or more FanDuel DFS points in seven of 10 games. Add in the insane 240-point total on FanDuel Sportsbook and Atlanta's porous 26th-ranked defense, this is a can't-miss opportunity.
De'Aaron Fox Fantasy
Target De'Aaron Fox, PG, Sacramento Kings ($8,900): The Sacramento Kings offense now runs almost exclusively through De'Aaron Fox following their trade of Tyrese Haliburton. Fox is averaging 38.2 minutes per game since the move, sporting an enticing 28.2% usage rate and averaging 27.9 points and 6.2 assists per game. He's put up at least 44 DFS points in 7 of these 12, which is a bargain for the $8,900 asking price. Denver allows opposing guards to make 46.7% of their shots (23rd), boding well for a more productive night from the Kings star.
Marvin Bagley Fantasy
Target Marvin Bagley, PF/C, Detroit Pistons ($5,700): An injury to Pistons starter Isaiah Stewart opens up a great opportunity for Marvin Bagley. He posted 40.5 FanDuel DFS points after Stewart went down with the injury on Monday and will likely slide into the starting five. The DFS price hasn't caught up just yet, and fantasy managers must take advantage. Considering the Chicago Bulls rate just 15th in rebounding percentage and 21st in defensive rating, this is a smart play.
Julius Randle Fantasy
Avoid Julius Randle, PF/C, New York Knicks ($8,600): RJ Barrett continues to eat into Julius Randle's offensive load, which is already a red flag for the Knicks' big. Considering the matchup, it's a no-brainer to avoid Randle tonight. The Knicks and Dallas Mavericks play at two of the four slowest paces in the NBA, evidenced by the lowest over/under point total (216) on tonight's slate. That's more than enough reason to avoid Randle, who is rebounding well below his season average in the past five.
Devin Booker Fantasy
Avoid Devin Booker, SG, Phoenix Suns ($10,100): The Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat are also projected for a defensive battle. The over/under sits at just 219 points and features a pair of teams ranking top five in defensive rating. Miami holds guards to just 44.1% shooting and 16% from three-point range. Despite averaging 25.6 points per game, Booker is having a down shooting year at 44.8%. That's a far cry from his 48%+ shooting in the previous two seasons and he's primed for an even more inefficient night against Miami's staunch perimeter play.
