NBA DFS 2/2/2022
Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Wednesday, 2/2, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 2/2
Nikola Jokic Fantasy
Target Nikola Jokic, C, Denver Nuggets ($11,400): Nikola Jokic continues to play at an MVP level, recording at least 50 FanDuel fantasy points in each of his last 10 games and hitting 60-plus in half of those contests. He has a fantastic matchup to keep things going with the wounded Utah Jazz on deck. Utah is down several starters, including defensive lynchpin Rudy Gobert, and backup center Hassan Whiteside is nursing a back injury. Gobert's absence opens up a huge opportunity on the boards (15.1 RPG), and Whiteside (7.2 RPG) may not be as effective either if he does play. Jokic should light it up in the boxscore tonight.
Cole Anthony Fantasy
Target Cole Anthony, PG/SG, Orlando Magic ($7,000): Cole Anthony is thriving as a playmaker recently, providing a big boost to his fantasy upside. Anthony is averaging 8.8 assists over his last four games, way past the 6.1 mark he's putting up this season. His jump in dime-dropping hasn't led to a drop-off in PPG (16.8) or RPG (5.5) either. He could keep the good times rolling on Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers, who have been decimated by injury and COVID troubles. They're already the sixth-worst team in defensive rating this year, and the absences clear the way to Anthony to pick apart an even weaker defense.
Isaiah Jackson Fantasy
Target Isaiah Jackson, PF, Indiana Pacers ($6,000): Isaiah Jackson is an absolute steal at this price. Indiana's depth issues have opened up an opportunity for the rookie, who got the first start of his career on Monday with Domantas Sabonis out. Jackson responded by posting highs in points (26) and rebounds (10). The big man finished that game with 47.0 fantasy points, and he'll be the featured option down low once again as the Pacers' only healthy big. Orlando ranks in the top 10 for most PPG and RPG allowed, giving Jackson the chance to have another career night.
Tyrese Haliburton Fantasy
Avoid Tyrese Haliburton, PG/SG, Sacramento Kings ($7,600): Tyrese Haliburton has been streaky over the past five games without De'Aaron Fox in the lineup. He's scored a high of 38 points during this stretch, but he's also put up 11 and 7 points, too. Now Fox is questionable for Wednesday's contest, which would be a serious threat to Haliburton's potential. The difference between his numbers without Fox (21.7 PPG, 9.6 APG) and with Fox (12.7 PPG, 6.6 APG) is apparent. He'd be promoted to a target if Fox sits.
Caris LeVert Fantasy
Avoid Caris LeVert, SG/SF, Indiana Pacers ($7,600): Caris LeVert is in the middle of a scoring rut that makes him an avoid candidate. Despite being the No. 2 and sometimes No. 1 option with the Pacers hobbled, LeVert has managed a high of just 19 points over his last five games. He's shooting a concerning 34.8% from the field during this stretch, which makes him hard to trust.
