NBA DFS 11/15/2021

Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Monday, 11/15, NBA DFS action.

FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 11/15

Nikola Jokic Fantasy

Target Nikola Jokic, C, Denver Nuggets ($11,500): Nikola Jokic is the most expensive player on the slate, and he's worth every penny. He's coming off a down game, but he dropped 60-plus FanDuel points in each of his two before that. The drop on Sunday also came in a blowout, in which he played only 28 minutes in a 29-point win. If anything that helps him tonight, as he'll be much more fresh on the back end of this back-to-back than he would have been if he played a full game. Look for Jokic to continue his domination in a close game (4-point spread) against a Dallas Mavericks team that has allowed the NBA's sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing centers.

C.J. McCollum Fantasy

Target C.J. McCollum, SG, Portland Trail Blazers ($7,700): We've seen it for years — when Damien Lillard is out, you play C.J. McCollum. He disappointed with Lillard on the shelf on Sunday, but that was in the same blowout that we just mentioned for Jokic. He still saw his usage rate leap from 27.1% with Lillard to 32.1% last night. That's consistent with what has happened for years. Since 2019, McCollum has a 34.0% usage rate in 14 contests without Lillard, compared to 25.6% when playing together. That has translated to a jump from 34.2 FanDuel points per game with Lillard to 48.5 per game without.

Aaron Holiday Fantasy

Target Aaron Holiday, SG/PG, Washington Wizards ($4,400): With Bradley Beal out again, Aaron Holiday is one of the top value options on the slate. Holiday started in place of Beal on Sunday, playing a season-high 35.6 minutes. He's never going to be much of an efficiency guy, but that playing time allowed him to rack up 26.4 FanDuel points — or 6.0 per $1,000 of salary today. As a guy who has averaged 0.79 FanDuel points per minute over his career, minutes into the mid-30's give him a great shot at returning solid value (albeit with a low ceiling) tonight.

Ja Morant Fantasy

Avoid Ja Morant, PG, Memphis Grizzlies ($10,000): Ja Morant has been incredible this season, but you should steer clear of him in daily fantasy on Monday. The Houston Rockets make for a favorable matchup, no doubt, but the Grizzlies are also huge 11-point favorite here. That blowout potential means we could see Morant's minutes limited, reducing his upside significantly.

Julius Randle Fantasy

Avoid Julius Randle, PF/C, New York Knicks ($9,200): After Eclipsing 60 fantasy points twice in his first three games of the season, Julius Randle has only scored even 45 in two of his last 10 games. He's fallen below 30 more times (three) in that stretch than he's topped 45. So it's a bit of a head scratcher that his salary is still north of $9k. Add in a matchup with the Indiana Pacers frontcourt (bottom-five fantasy production allowed to the position) and Randle is an obvious fade.
