NBA DFS 11/1/2021
Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Monday, 11/1, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 11/1
Nikola Jokic Fantasy
Target Nikola Jokic, C, Denver Nuggets ($11,200): Nikola Jokic is well worth the hefty price on Monday. He's averaging 24.0 points and a whopping 14.8 rebounds, along with 5.5 assists, to begin the season. Jokic is in position for a monster scoring night against the Memphis Grizzlies. Memphis is giving up the second-most PPG (117.0) and allowing the second-best opponent 3-point percentage (42.3%) in the early going. That's great news for the Nuggets big man, who's shooting a career-best 42.3% from deep right now.
Dejounte Murray Fantasy
Target Dejounte Murray, PG/SG, San Antonio Spurs ($8,900): Dejounte Murray is on fire to start the 2021-22 campaign. He's put up at least 34 FanDuel fantasy points in each of his first six games while averaging 17.8 PPG, 8.5 RPG and 8.8 APG. Murray's current usage rate of 24.7% is the highest of his career, and it's clear the Spurs' offense revolves around both his scoring and distributing. He should thrive in both areas once again on Monday. The Indiana Pacers surrender the fifth-most PPG (112.6) and are in the bottom 10 for net defensive rating.
Evan Mobley Fantasy
Target Evan Mobley, PF/C, Cleveland Cavaliers ($6,600): Evan Mobley is currently averaging 32.9 FanDuel fantasy points a game, making him a serious value play with upside tonight. His season averages of 13.4 PPG, 7.6 RPG and 2.6 APG showcase a prominent role in the Cleveland Cavaliers' offense already and clear rebounding skills. He gets a delicious matchup against the Charlotte Hornets on Monday. They're allowing the third-most PPG (115.3) and are a bottom-10 rebounding unit at 44.7 RPG. Charlotte also plays at top-10 pace, meaning Mobley should have plenty of opportunities on the boards.
Damian Lillard Fantasy
Avoid Damian Lillard, PG, Portland Trail Blazers ($8,300): Damian Lillard is averaging a measley 33.7 FanDuel fantasy points per game to begin the year. His PPG (18.3) is notably well below the 28.8 points he put up in 2020-21, and his 3-point shooting has cratered to an abysmal 23.2%. The Portland marksman will right the ship eventually, but this doesn't seem like his get-right game. The Philadelphia 76ers boast a top-10 scoring defense, holding opponents to just 103.7 PPG. Defensive-minded guards like Tyrese Maxey and Matisse Thybulle could make it a long night for Lillard.
Mo Bamba Fantasy
Avoid Mo Bamba, PF/C, Orlando Magic ($6,600): Mo Bamba could be seen as a solid value given his season average of 33.3 FanDuel fantasy points. This might be the game he comes crashing back down, though. Bamba draws the Minnesota Timberwolves and star big man Karl-Anthony Towns as his matchup on Monday. Minnesota has held opponents to the sixth-fewest PPG (100.6) so far, and KAT will likely make success on the boards very difficult to come by.
