NBA Championship Odds Favor the Lakers Over Nets & Clippers

The NBA season continues into mid February and the Championship odds continue to adjust at FanDuel Sportsbook.

It's no surprise to see the Los Angeles Lakers (+250) still the favorites to win the NBA title. The Lakers are 19-6 and have won five straight games after losing their first two road games of the season to close out January. LeBron James is the leading MVP favorite.

While the Brooklyn Nets (+450) made a sharp move up the odds as a major contender following the James Harden trade, the Nets still trail the Philadelphia 76ers (17-7) by 3.5 games in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers' odds are down to +1400, along with the Utah Jazz (19-5), who have the best record in the NBA.

The Milwaukee Bucks (16-8) and Los Angeles Clippers (17-8) remain major NBA title contenders with odds below +1000.

The Miami Heat (9-14) and Dallas Mavericks (11-14) are still in the top 10 in the odds, but saw a double-digit drop and both are now +3600. The Heat suffered through a recent six game losing streak while the Mavericks now sit in last place in the Southwest division after also losing six straight games to close out January.

The San Antonio Spurs (14-10) lead the Southwest division and have won six of their last eight games. Yet the Spurs odds remain unchanged as a big long shot at +13000.
