One of the questions surrounding the Miami Dolphins this offseason was what this team would do with the running back position. After a relatively quiet offseason, it appears like the Dolphins are going all in on Myles Gaskin as the lead back.

Miami did add several running backs to its roster this offseason, however, none project as players with lead back capabilities. These additions included Malcolm Brown (a short-yard specialist), Jordan Scarlett (a reserve player), and seventh-round draft pick Gerrid Doaks (rookie). Gaskin rushed for nearly 600 yards and 150 attempts last season and enters with the perfect attitude as the Dolphins new lead back.

According to reports, Gaskin isn't too concerned with the pecking order of Miami's running back depth chart next season. "I don't think drafting a back or bringing in a back is going to change anything for me," said the two-year back out of Washington.

He added that the only competition he needs to perform is an internal competition with himself, to get better as a football player. That's an awesome and confident attitude for a player with only two years of NFL experience.

Gaskin took over as the Dolphins' lead back last season, leading the team in rushing yards (584), attempts (142), and touchdowns (3) ahead of Salvon Ahmed and Matt Breida (who is now with the Buffalo Bills). The overall offense should be much more balanced with Tua Tagovailoa under center full-time and a trio of talented receivers in Jaylen Waddle, Will Fuller and DeVante Parker.

Miami also owns the second-best odds to win the AFC East next season, with +320 odds according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
