Baltimore Orioles are one of the oldest franchises in professional baseball, and their players have established some very difficult franchise records to break.

We all know records are made to be broken, but these three records appear to be unbreakable as long as modern baseball continues its current trajectory.

3. Chris Davis' 0-54 hitless streak

Set between the end of 2018 and beginning of 2019, Chris Davis' infamous 0-for-54 hitless streak will likely stand the test of time. He finally ended it with a single off of Rick Porcello on April 13, 2019, meaning that he spent 210 days without a hit across the offseason. He crushed the previous record, held by Eugenio Vélez, at 0-for-46, so it could be a long time before anyone has the chance to challenge Davis.

2. Jim Palmer's 211 complete games

Jim Palmer is Orioles' leading pitcher in almost every category, but his franchise record of 211 complete games seems to be the least attainable. Complete games are disappearing from baseball altogether, with only 42 complete games occurring across all of baseball in 2019. As long as baseball continues to emphasize relief pitchers, this record seems to be unbeatable.

1. Cal Ripken Jr.'s 2,632 consecutive games

For 56 years, many considered Lou Gehrig's record of 2,130 consecutive games played to be an unbreakable mark. However, in addition to being a fantastic hitter and defender, Ripken just refused to miss a game. As his career wore on, the unbreakable came within reach. Ripken broke the record in September 1995 and continued on to set a new "unbreakable" record of 2,632 consecutive games played. Although the modern schedule of frequent rest days will make Ripken's near impossible to challenge, he's living proof that "unbreakable" records could someday meet their match.
