With the 2019 MLB season now well under way, somehow one former Cy Young Award winner remains a free agent. Dallas Keuchel, who has a career 3.66 ERA, could be a difference maker for lots of potential World Series contenders.

Quality starting pitching is always hard to come by, and Keuchel would provide an immediate boost to any team willing to sign him.

With that in mind, here are the three most likely landing spots for Keuchel.

The New York Yankees added another left-hander in James Paxton during the offseason, but with Luis Severino shut down for at least another six weeks with a Grade 2 right lat strain, adding an arm like Keuchel's could solve a lot of problems. And we know the Yankees aren't afraid to spend in order to compete for a World Series.

2. New York Mets

After a brutal outing from Steven Matz on Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Phillies, the New York Mets' quick fix could be Keuchel. The former Houston Astros' ace would likely be a great fit for a National League team, especially one with a top-heavy rotation like that of the Mets.

1. San Diego Padres

The San Diego Padres already spent millions upon millions of dollars on Manny Machado this offseason, and signing Keuchel could be their next step toward staying atop a competitive NL West. After a surprising 11-8 start, Keuchel could provide a veteran presence that leads San Diego to its first playoff berth since 2006.
