The Tennessee Titans got an injury scare early on in training camp after star wideout Julio Jones suffered a leg injury. By all reports the injury is minor and nothing to sweat about, but it's kept him sidelined as the regular season inches closer.

Head coach Mike Vrabel offered a recent update on Jones that doesn't clarify much.

Julio Jones Injury Update

Jones' return to the field doesn't appear to be coming in the immediate future. Vrabel said he has no idea if his receiver will return to practice this week, so it's hard to know Jones' status right now.

Tennessee clearly is being cautious with their prized offseason acquisition. Keeping him on the sideline as long as possible to avoid re-injury is beneficial for all involved, and it's not like missed practices will hold the future Hall-of-Famer back when the games actually count.

Jones is entering his age-32 season and just went through an injury-plagued year, so making sure he's 100% before the regular season will be a priority for the Titans. When healthy, he's perennial Pro Bowler and All-Pro-worthy talent.

Tennessee is favored at -110 odds to win the AFC South in 2021, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
