The New York Mets are a team that has been struggling to compete for an NL East title since their run to the 2015 World Series. However, that certainly doesn't have the oddsmakers discouraged about their 2020 season potential, though.

With that in mind, here's a full preview of the Mets' 2020 MLB season potential outcomes and projected achievements, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Mets Win Total

Under the assumption that each MLB team still plays the standard 162 regular-season games in 2020, the Mets were originally projected to win 87.5 games this season, with -106 odds on the over and -116 on the under. That 87.5-win mark is tied with the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians for the 11th-highest total in baseball.

Mets Odds to Win NL East

Despite recently losing Noah Syndergaard to Tommy John surgery, the Mets are still sitting in the middle of the division with the third-best odds at +300 to win the NL East crown in 2020. Those +300 odds reflect an implied probability of a 25.0 percent shot to win the division this year.

The Mets' odds to win the NL East are ahead of both the Philadelphia Phillies (+330) and the Miami Marlins (+15000), while New York trails the Atlanta Braves (+185) and Washington Nationals (+300).

Mets Odds to Win NL Pennant

Even though the Mets have the third-best odds to win their division, New York is actually tied with the St. Louis Cardinals for the fourth-best odds win the National League in 2020, at +1100. Those +1100 odds reflect an implied probability of an 8.3 percent chance to win the NLCS and advance to the World Series.

Mets Odds to Win World Series

The Mets are a fringe contender when it comes to winning it all this year as well. New York currently boasts the eighth-best odds to win the 2020 World Series at +2200, sitting just ahead of the Cardinals (+2300). Those +2200 odds reflect an implied probability of a 4.3 percent chance of winning the World Series.
