With the World Series wrapping up just a few days ago, the MLB offseason rumor mill is already off to a hot start. With free agent predictions and reports coming from all angles, the trade market is beginning to heat up as well.

Pablo Lopez Trade Rumors

Not surprisingly, one name already receiving lots of attention is Miami Marlins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez. Lopez was almost traded to the New York Yankees at the trade deadline in August until New York pulled out at the last minute due to Miami's final asking price.

Lopez is a young pitcher who would be a great addition to any team's rotation. Still just 26, he went 10-10 with a 3.75 ERA and 174 strikeouts in 180 innings last year.

The Marlins' asking price may have changed since the regular season, but at the deadline, they were seeking a trade package headlined by Gleyber Torres and the Yankees' No. 1 prospect Oswald Peraza.

A number of teams will probably be calling Miami about Lopez, but if the price has dropped at all, expect New York to be one of those teams again.
