Marlins Get Bad News With Latest Jazz Chisholm Injury Update

This has been yet another year os rebuilding and missed playoffs for the Miami Marlins. That being said, the franchise is not void of talent or young stars. One of those young stars is second baseman Jazz Chisholm.
Jazz Chisholm Injury Update
After being placed on the 60-day IL back in July, Chisholm has been working his way back from a stress fracture in his back. However, on Saturday, the Marlins announced that Chisholm will not return this season. With just a few weeks left of the regular season, and the Marlins well out of playoff contention, the organization decided to play it safe with the 24-year-old infielder.

Time running out with season drawing to a close/no need to rush him.
Prior to his injury, Chisholm was ab right spot for the Marlins, slashing .254/.325/.535, which were all career highs. He also has 14 home runs, 45 RBI and 12 stolen bases in just 60 games.
The Marlins are taking the cautious, smart approach with Chisholm, especially considering his importance to the future of the franchise and how finicky back injuries can be if not rehabbed or healed properly.
Expect him to be ready to go for the start of next spring training as the Marlins try to take the next step up with their young core.
