3 Linebackers the Cowboys Can Draft to Replace Sean Lee

After injury trouble forced them to go 6-10 in 2020, the Dallas Cowboys are looking forward to their players returning to full health so that they could compete next season. Unfortunately, linebacker Sean Lee won't be among the reinforcements after he announced his retirement on Monday.
Fortunately, the Cowboys do have 10 selections to make at the 2021 NFL Draft, meaning they could fill the void that Lee's retirement created. With that being said, here are three linebackers the Cowboys could draft to replace him.
1. Micah Parsons, Penn State
Considering the Cowboys have the No. 10 pick in the draft, it would be a no-brainer for them to use it on Micah Parsons, who is one of the top linebacker prospects in the class. The Penn State star opted out of the 2020 seasons because of the pandemic but showed what he could do in previous seasons. Parsons recorded 191 total tackles, 6,5 sacks and 6 forced fumbles in 26 games with Penn State.
2. Baron Browning, Ohio State
If the Cowboys want to find Lee's replacement later on in the draft, they can target Ohio State's Baron Browning. With an overall ProFootballFocus grade of 71.2, Browning is projected in a lot of mock drafts to be a second- or third-round selection. Considering the Cowboys have three picks in those two rounds, they should have a chance to draft him. While he has the physical tools to produce at the NFL level, PFF says he has to work on his reading and reacting. Still, with some polishing, Browning could be a suitable replacement for Lee in the future.
3. Jabril Cox, LSU
Projected to be a second-round pick by PFF, LSU's Jabril Cox has the tools to be Lee's replacement if the Cowboys feel like he is the fit right. In his senior and only year with LSU, Cox recorded 58 total tackles, a sack and 3 interceptions, including one for a pick-6. He also lined up in numerous spots on defense, showcasing his versatility, whether his coaches needed him in the slot or on the defensive line. If the Cowboys believe that Cox can be an everyday NFL player, they could use the No. 44 pick on him if he's available.
