Le'Veon Bell Fantasy Football Outlook Remains Strong Despite Jets' Week 2 Uncertainty

Week 2 has been an absolute mess for the New York Jets. Sam Darnold was ruled out well ahead of Monday night's matchup with the Cleveland Browns, causing the Jets' betting odds to plummet, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Le'Veon Bell also had to undergo an MRI on his shoulder, which called his status into question.

Bell got in a practice on Saturday though, and head coach Adam Gase has said he's fine. With that being the case, Bell's fantasy value should still hold up among the running back elite.

Volume is at the core of RB value in fantasy football, and that's something Bell offers in spades.

He was one of only two backs to be on the field for 100 percent of their team's offensive snaps in Week 1, and he racked up 17 carries and nine targets in his Jets' debut. The Jets clearly have no intentions of easing him into the swing of things after he sat out the entire 2018 season either.

That passing game involvement is especially key for his value this week. The Jets are heavy underdogs, but even if they're forced to abandon the run while playing from behind, Bell will likely still be heavily involved and rack up his typical number of touches.

Bell's terrific floor is a huge part of why he carries so much value in fantasy football, and why he had an average draft position inside the first round this summer.

No matter what is going on in the offense around him, he's about as safe a bet as you'll find for 20-plus touches in any given game. That keeps him in the RB1 conversation each week, and his fantasy football owners shouldn't be too concerned about his Week 2 outlook against Cleveland.
