The Buffalo Bills have been subject to a tumultuous ride since Josh Allen visibly injured his elbow in the final seconds of a Week 9 loss. On Tuesday, reports suggested Allen was dealing with a UCL injury, promptly raising concerns about a lengthy absence.
Fortunately, Allen and the Bills seem to have avoided the worst.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday the full details of Allen's elbow issue. While the elite quarterback is dealing with a sprained right elbow (a UCL injury), he'll simply be limited ahead of Week 10.
Allen's status for a Week 10 clash with the Minnesota Vikings is still up in the air, but Rapoport indicated there's belief "it's an injury [Allen] can manage moving forward."
Considering UCL tears are commonly tied to a baseball injury and Tommy John surgery that usually results in a year or more absence for MLB pitchers, this is a huge sigh of relief for Buffalo.
As it stands, Buffalo enters Week 10 as 4-point home favorites, according to NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
