Things aren't very fun for Colorado Rockies fans right now. They sit at the bottom of the NL West standings, they just needed extra innings to even a series at 1-1 against the lowly Pittsburgh Pirates, and Kris Bryant just can't stay healthy.
Bryant missed nearly a month with a lower back injury in April and May, only making his return on May 21. He made it through one game of that doubleheader, then he was a late scratch on Monday.
Now, after sitting out Tuesday when his back "flared up on him", it's another IL stint for Bryant.
Back injuries are so unpredictable that it's really hard to know what to expect at this point. If the flare-up was minor we could see him back soon, but as Rockies fans know all too well this could be another month-long issue.
Bryant hasn't exactly been raking for the Rockies in 2022, slashing .270/.342/.333, but that's also over just a 17-game sample.
