It's hard enough being a rookie in the NFL. It's even harder when you have to try to do your job against Tom Brady.
That's what Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett will attempt to do this weekend when the Steelers host Brady and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6.
Pickett revealed that he's excited to face the GOAT in only his second career NFL start. The 24-year-old rookie grew up watching Brady and has a lot of respect and admiration for him.
Brady is not Pickett's main concern, however, since they'll never actually be on the field at the same time. Instead, Pickett is more focused on going up against Tampa Bay's stellar defense, which is allowing the sixth-fewest passing yards and sixth-fewest total points in the NFL this season.
That's a tough puzzle for any signal-caller to solve, especially one in just his third career game. Pickett is coming off a brutal performance against the Buffalo Bills in Week 5, so he knows he needs to be better in Week 6 if Pittsburgh's going to pull off the upset.
Pickett will have his work cut out for him, as the Steelers are currently 8.5-point home underdogs against the Buccaneers on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
